PolyTerra PLA 1Kg

PolyTerra PLA 1Kg

PolyTerra™ PLA is a bioplastic based 3D printing filament designed from the ground up to create the next generation of PLA, providing ease of use, printing quality, speed and reliability. It is a sustainable product sourced naturally and for every spool produced a tree is planted to give back to the earth

  • Features

Eco-sustainable - Polymaker is committed to helping combat plastic waste and PolyTerra™ PLA is the first step taken towards creating more eco-sustainable products. PolyTerra™ PLA comes on a fully recycled cardboard spool with recycled labels and box. Furthermore, Polymaker will plant one tree in Australia through the ONETREEPLANTED association for every locally sold spool of PolyTerra™ PLA.

Bioplastic PLA Formula - It is a newly developed material from Polymaker called Fully Bio Compound (FBC) - a bioplastic mainly made with NatureWorks high quality Ingeo PLA and compounded with naturally occurring elements which reduces the plastic content of PolyTerra PLA by 15-20%. Ultimately these innovations result in an excellent, easy to print 3D printing material which uses less PLA plastic without compromising performance. Polymaker has also run a compostability test, certified to ISO 14855-1, with a third party laboratory that revealed thanks to the organic compounds in PolyTerra PLA, printed parts composted faster than a comparable PLA material under the right conditions.

Improved Toughness - The next generation formulation of PolyTerra™ PLA delivers parts with improved mechanical properties, outperforming regular PLA filament in impact resistance The improved toughness of PolyTerra™ PLA makes it an excellent choice for 3D printing durable hobby and education projects.

Matte Surface & Fun Colours - Print parts with a beautiful matte surface finish and unleash your imagination with PolyTerra™ PLA's fun and vibrant colour range.

Jam-Free™ technology - Polymaker have implemented their Jam-Free™ technology into PolyTerra™ PLA to improve the heat stability of the filament with softening temperatures over 100 °C. As a result, PolyTerra™ PLA shows minimal softening in the “cold end” and can melt rapidly once entering the heating zone, leading to excellent printing quality with zero risk of nozzle jams caused by heat creep.

Optimized for Support - Polymaker have engineered PolyTerra™ PLA with excellent support removal properties, enabling users to more easily break away support or rafts from the surface of their prints. For users capable of multi-material 3D printing, PolyTerra™ PLA can also be used to 3D print complex geometry with dedicated support materials such as Polymakers PolyDissolve™ S1 and PolySupport™.

Compatibility In Mind - PolyTerra™ PLA is compatible with a wide range of 3D printers including models from Ultimaker, Makerbot, FlashForge, Monoprice, Lulzbot, Prusa Research, Raise3D, Tiertime, Creality and other popular extrusion based 3D printers (Heated bed may be required in some cases). Works well with common printing surfaces such as the blue tape, Kapton tape, glass, BuildTak, etc. No heated bed required but can be used for better results (up to 60°C).

High Speed Capable - Polymaker have engineered PolyTerra™ PLA with ideal flow properties to deliver a filament which is capable of high speed printing on suitable hardware.

Uncompromised Quality - With Polymaker's leading quality control process and rigorous in-house testing, you can rest assured that PolyTerra™ PLA will produce beautiful, reliable and accurate printed parts.
